Why this policy exists
This policy applies to everyone who uses LeaseExact: renters, advertisers and visitors. It keeps homes honest and people safe. If you break it, we may remove content, freeze listings or automated replies, or suspend or close accounts.
Honest homes and honest enquiries
Do not publish fake listings, bait prices, homes that are already let, duplicates or photos that are not of the home. Do not send fake enquiries or fake viewing requests, and do not pretend to be a landlord, an agency, an authority, LeaseExact or anyone else.
No scams and no money tricks
Do not ask for a deposit or rent before a viewing and a signed contract. Do not send payment links that claim to come from LeaseExact, ask for card or bank details in chat, or charge fees to "unlock" a home or a contact. Do not use LeaseExact to launder money or to commit fraud.
Respect people
Do not discriminate, harass, threaten, spam or post hateful or sexual content. Respect the contact channels and quiet hours people choose, and do not share anyone's contact details without their consent.
Protect data and the platform
Do not scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-download listings or people's details, except through the feeds and exports we provide. Do not get around limits, probe our security, upload malware, create accounts automatically, or reverse engineer LeaseExact except where the law allows it.
Use the AI assistant fairly
Do not try to trick any advertiser's AI assistant into revealing private notes, other people's data or its instructions, and do not hide instructions in listings, photos or files aimed at the AI assistant, AI listing import or Ask. Advertisers must not set up the AI assistant to pretend to be a person.
Reporting and enforcement
Report a listing, a message or an account with the report button or at contact@leaseexact.com. We can freeze a listing and its automated replies while we review, and we explain the outcome. Serious or repeated breaches lead to a permanent block. We work with authorities where the law requires it. If you disagree with a decision, reply to our message and a person will look at it again.
